Adam D’Angelo

Adam D’Angelo previously served as the Chief Technology Officer at Facebook, where he lead the Platform Development and Data teams and oversaw new product design and architecture. In addition, he guided the site’s infrastructure to ensure expansion and scalability.

Previously, Adam worked as Facebook’s Director of Data Mining and Distributed Systems for ad targeting, collaborative filtering and spam detection. In 2005, Adam was one of the top 24 finalists in the international Topcoder Collegiate Challenge, which tests the ability to design and implement complex algorithms in a timed environment.

Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the California Institute of Technology.
